CONVERGENCE was a two-month publishing-wide event in the DC Universe replacing all of the publisher's regular titles with a 9-issue weekly mini-series called CONVERGENCE and 40 two-issue mini-series starring all the characters of the DC Universe. In CONVERGENCE, the worlds of the pre-NEW 52 continuity stretching all the way back to pre-Crisis converge to battle one another for survival. CONVERGENCE ended DC's use of the NEW 52 branding, but the NEW 52 continuity continued to exist afterwards. This was not a DC Universe relaunch. Twenty-four new series launched with an issue #1 after CONVERGENCE alongside 25 existing series which maintained their numbering.
