MARVEL ROMANCE REDUX [2006]

MARVEL ROMANCE REDUX (2006) was a series of five one-shots from Marvel reprinting the original art from old romance stories with new, humorous and snarky dialogue substituted by contemporary writers. The comic book romance genre was popular from 1947-1977, having been launched with YOUNG ROMANCE [1947] #1 by now industry legends, Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Dozens of romance comic books were on the stands throughout the 50's and 60's from all the major publishers at the time, including Marvel. Each one-shot in the MARVEL ROMANCE REDUX series contains 3-5 short, 5-7 page stories. Almost all of these one-shots contain a little art from Jack Kirby.
