Description

Hyperion (aka Mark Milton) has decided he's tired of attending the government-funded school by himself. He's learned to control his powers, and he thinks he ought to be trusted. But the only way the government can acquiesce to allowing Mark access to the outside world is to be able to control the outside world as well. Meanwhile, events transpire in the life of the young Kyle Richmond, who sees his parents gunned down before his very eyes by a group of shotgun-toting racists. And Corporal Joe Ledger is asked to take the crystal that powered Hyperion's ship on a 'test flight' as the crystal requires someone with tremendous focus and will-power to wield its energies.
