DARK HORSE/HASBRO COMIC PACK REPRINTS were Dark Horse comic book reprints included with special Hasbro action figure two-packs from 2006-2010. Many of the action figures were repaints of existing figures, but the line included several characters that had previously not been issued as action figures, especially from the Expanded Universe. The figures were typically based on the cover or the story contents of the included comic book. While most of the comics were reprints of Dark Horse comics, some were reprints of the classic Marvel Star Wars comic book series. The comic books are reprints of the stated issues with minor color or logo modifications, but they have glued spines instead of the traditional stapled binding. The comics are dual titled/numbered, as each includes something like this in the idicia: 'Star Wars Comic Pack #20: Star Wars Republic #69.' The covers do not include the 'Comic Pack' title or numbering. Including convention and store exclusives, there are 57 different comic pack reprints. Some action figure two-packs were re-issued with different packaging as the toy line progressed, but the contents of the packaging was the same. Anecdotally, at least, these reprints are difficult to find in the highest grades, due to the nature of the action figure packaging in which they were issued and their glued vice stapled spines.
