FATHOM was Michael Turner's first creator-owned property, initially published at Top Cow but became the foundational series at Turner's own publishing company, Aspen MLT. As an artist, Turner broke out with his art on WITCHBLADE and went on to do well-received covers for both DC and Marvel. Fathom explores the fantasy world built around Aspen Matthews, a girl found on a cruise ship that arrived 10 years after disappearing and who turns out to be a member of a race of aquatic humanoids called the Blue who possess the ability to control water. FATHOM has an expansive publishing history, having had multiple volumes of the self-titled FATHOM, as well as several associated mini-series.
