MARVEL.1 (POINT ONE) ISSUES

During the 2011-2013 timeframe, Marvel used a 'point one' numbering of regularly-published titles in order to provide a jumping on point for new readers without restarting the series' numbering. In some cases, a quixotically-numbered #0.1 issue actually preceded a series numbering restart. The quality of the 'point one' issues was variable, and the marketing effect was questionable versus that of just outright restarting the numbering. Marvel would use the 'point one' numbering again in the future as one-off bridging issues and for a mini-series-within-a-series concept, a way to publish an origin-like mini-series right alongside the regularly numbered series instead of under a different mini-series title.
