Matt Murdock became Daredevil when he rushed to save a blind man from a speeding truck which crashed and spilled radioactive material on Matt's face. Blinded in the accident, Matt discovered all of his other senses were enhanced and a new radar sense gave him more 'sight' than his eyeballs had previously. Trained in the use of his new powers by a ninja master named Stick, Matt became the costumed vigilante hero Daredevil, protecting Hell's Kitchen.
