Following the successful launch of a line of all-ages Star Wars comics by IDW, in 2018 IDW launched a series of all-ages comics based on big-name, iconic Marvel heroes, beginning with Spider-Man (featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales), the Avengers and Black Panther. In 2019 on the heels of their canceled Marvel reprint digest series, IDW also began issuing one-shots in the MARVEL ACTION line--standard comic books containing reprints of earlier Marvel material targeted at the same all-ages audience with titles like MARVEL ACTION CLASSICS. Digest were added back in the mix with the MARVEL VAULT OF HEROES lines. This tag is applied to all IDW Marvel material--original and reprint--targeted at the 8-12, middle-grade reader audience.
