ARMY OF DARKNESS is a 1992 horror/comedy film directed and co-written by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell. It is the third installment in the four-film EVIL DEAD film franchise, which has since expanded into video games, comics, and other media. The comics based on this film franchise are generally regarded as ARMY OF DARKNESS comics and have been published by Dark Horse, Dynamite and Space Goat Productions. There have been many cross-property crossovers involving the ARMY OF DARKNESS and/or the main character, Ash.
