VIZ SHOJO BEAT is an imprint of American publisher Viz Media that tells character-driven romance, fantasy and comedy for teens and adults. SHOJO is a demographic classification of manga across all genres aimed at young girls between the ages of 10-18. However, like all demographic classifications, this manga can be enjoyed by any demographic. Before the imprint was created, SHOJO BEAT was also the name of an American magazine, launched as a sister publication to the American version of SHONEN JUMP and published from 2005-2009 featuring serialized chapters of shojo manga.
