A tag for magazines devoted to the Star Trek franchise. STARLOG, founded in 1976, initially focused on Star Trek actors, but the magazine grew to cover the larger science fiction market. STARLOG ceased publication in 2006. Titan Magazines launched STAR TREK MONTHLY in 1995 exclusively in the UK, and it continues as STAR TREK MAGAZINE. Early issues contained reprints of DC Star Trek comics, but it is now predominantly articles and photos. A North American version of the magazine was launched in 2006. The US market had STAR TREK: COMMUNICATOR (the magazine of the official fan club) from 1994-2005 and STAR TREK: THE MAGAZINE from 1999-2003.
