DC's MILLENNIUM EDITION reprints were a large series of reprints published in 2000-2001 of key DC comic books originally published anywhere from 1937-1997, covering all of DC's most iconic characters, relaunches and major storylines. The reprints can be identified by a gold-foil logo (a few had a chromium variant as well) stamped on the front of the cover, which is a slightly reduced-size image of the original cover turned counter-clockwise at a slight angle. The inside covers have a brief essay on the importance of the issue. In some cases, the interior contents are slightly different from the original with respect to ads and inside cover material. Marvel's equivalent reprint series was the MARVEL MILESTONE EDITIONS (1991-1999) series.
