Boom! Studios takes over the Buffy the Vampire Slayer license from Dark Horse. Marvel is doing these WEB OF VENOM one-shots that tangentially tie into the ongoing VENOM series but can stand alone as well. The first couple have been mind-blowing, and the cover alone for this one looks to knock it out of the park again. This new series look interesting. Most times, Marvel tries to tell stories of the Invaders from the WWII era, and they don’t really resonate with the modern reader. But this looks like a modern story–with the characters in their current-day identities–and just assuming all the backstory from WWII. If anyone deserves a third ongoing flagship title, it’s SPIDER-MAN. This series is billed as having a local neighborhood vibe. “Spider-Man is the worst neighbor EVER.
