ETERNITY #1 Comic Book Cover

Wow, Valiant has been playing heavy with their Universe(s), but this is interesting. A whole new plane of existence with its own universe of gods and heroes. I guess, really, the concept is not new, but how this new universe will play with the Valiant New Universe is unknown. “A VISIONARY NEW SERIES. From the minds of New York Times best-selling writer Matt Kindt (X-O MANOWAR, Mind MGMT) and blockbuster artist Trevor Hairsine (DIVINITY, X-Men: Deadly Genesis) comes an expedition into the Unknown. Beyond time… Beyond space… Beyond reality itself… ETERNITY awaits. This October, Valiant unveils a new plane of existence beyond our own and unleashes a universe of new worlds, new beings, and new myths…” Buy It Now Related […]

STAR WARS DARTH VADER #6

The newest Darth Vader series brings in the Inquisitors! I’m excited to maybe get more background on this group of Force users, a sort of police force for the Emperor. They do more menial tasks, those not up to the level of a Sith Lord! Hey, I just had a thought. What if Supreme Leader Snoke is a former Inquisitor?!? “Darth Vader…meet THE INQUISITORIUS.” Buy It Now Interested in Getting Started In STAR WARS comic books? BATMAN WHITE KNIGHT #1

Hey, Batman fans! This looks like a very cool alternate Gotham City. Sean Murphy has done some great comic book work, so this should be good, both story and art. I’m always up for an even more twisted Gotham City… “In a world where Batman has gone too far, The Joker must save Gotham City. He’s been called a maniac, a killer and the ‘Clown Prince of Crime’ but ‘white knight’? Never. Until now… Set in a world where the Joker is cured of his insanity and homicidal tendencies, The Joker, now known as ‘Jack,’ sets about trying to right his wrongs. First he plans to reconcile with Harley Quinn, and then he’ll try to save the city from the […]

LAZARETTO #1 Comic Book Cover

This looks like a fascinating story…Lord of the Flies on a college campus. “After a pandemic strikes, a dorm complex at a small American college is quarantined with all of the students trapped within. What first starts out as youthful freedom from authority soon devolves into a violent new society-it’s Lord of the Flies on a college campus. From writer Clay McLeod Chapman (Spider-Verse, Ultimate Spider-Man, American Vampire, Vertigo Quarterly), whose most recent play, ‘Stump Speeches,’ was a New York Times Critics’ Pick; and introducing artist Jey Levang.”

FALLEN SUNS #1 Comic Book Cover

This looks like a cool sci-fi epic. The writer, Van Jensen, has previous credits on Green Lantern Corps and The Flash, so even though it’s a smaller publisher, I expect it has more potential than usual. “The alien warrior called Pharos came to our world to deliver a warning: The Borealis are coming. Instead he has wreaked havoc across the Earth and left death and destruction in his wake. Now, he awaits execution for his crimes deep in a H.A.L.O. facility. Can brilliant young Equilibrium agent Parminder Patel unravel Pharos’ history and uncover the secrets behind his dire warning, opening the way to his redemption? Can she convince him to rejoin the fight and save Earth? Find out in Chapterhouse’s […]

Gravelend #1 Comic Book Cover

Hmmm, yeah, I’d read this story about four superhumans created to fight giant creatures which have emerged from the San Andreas Fault. “The San Andreas Fault finally has ‘the Big One,’ but not from natural occurrences. From the depths of the fault something emerges. Something of myth and legend that was mentioned in hushed tone by every ancient culture – giants, huge creatures from another time, awakened from the slumber and seeking to resume their conquest that has been delayed for a millennium. To mount a counteroffensive, the US government creates super-humans with an experimental serum. These four individuals may be the last chance for humanity as they are all the stands between civilization and the Giants.”

SON OF SHAOLIN OGN Comic Book Cover

Sweet, I’m always up for some martial arts mayhem. Especially if it involves the last living descendant of a secret sect, because you know those kinds of sects usually have the best Kung Fu. “A kung-fu epic set in the back alleys and subway tunnels of Harlem, New York. Kyrie, an aspiring street artist who is struggling to make ends meet, learns that he is the last living descendant of a secret sect of ancient Shaolin elders. Confused and unsure of where to turn, he finds a father figure in the mysterious Master Fong. Fong trains Kyrie in martial arts in anticipation of an attack from Red Fist, a relentless killer who has already murdered the rest of Kyrie’s bloodline. […]

LIBRARIANS #1 Comic Book Cover

Based on the TNT TV series. An interesting premise that is sure to reveal surprises along the way. “Way back in the swinging ’70s, movie producer Sol Schick was the guy behind such cheesy classics as Quarry: Bigfoot., Noah’s Ark: Found at Last. and Heavenly Visitors from the Hell Above. But when he’s murdered–at a film festival.–with a piece of Noah’s Ark.–THE LIBRARIANS are drawn into the mystery. Can their combination of special skills, obsessive curiosity and knowledge of forgotten lore figure out who–or what–spelled doom for Schick? And as they delve deeper into his past, is it possible that things are not as they seem and that all his crazy, wild movies…were telling the truth?” Buy It Now
